SFC Celebrates New Pilot Academy in Tamworth

SFC ambassador Matt Hall performed his signature aerobatic display to mark the signing of the SFC Pilot Academy which will be based at Tamworth Regional Airport and scheduled to open to students in July 2024.

The academy will offer a new 12-month Diploma of Aviation package, as a pathway to creating the next generation of airline pilots. 

The new training centre will house 32 students and 10 instructors along with a fleet of training aircraft. New cohorts of students will start every month and will be able to study its 12 month Diploma of Aviation package.

SFC was formed over 50 years ago and has trained thousands of pilots, many of whom have moved to Australian and international airlines. 

"My involvement with SFC gives me great pleasure as I love to see young students go through the academy and be able to fulfil their dreams of becoming a pilot," Hall said.
