Australian Hosted Air Race At Lake Macquarie Imminent

Weekend Sunrise hosts Monique Wright and Matt Doran interview Matt Hall about an imminent Air Race in beautiful Lake Macquarie, Australia and how he assesses his chances of winning the title again.

Hall has not raced since he won the world championship in 2019 but says he is mentally and operationally ready, though currently pushing the Covid body aside. He adds that as long as he is enjoying racing, he will be doing well.

It has been nearly 12 years since crowds flocked to Perth for Red Bull Air Race and Hall relishes the opportunity to race in his hometown of Lake Macquarie despite the added pressure.
