2019 Top Ten Highlights - Part Two

There was an unbelievable amount happening at Matt Hall Racing in 2019 and with the end of the year upon us, we’re looking back on the five things that really made the year tick! If you want to see part one of our Top 5, click here!

In no particular order, here’s five more things we’ve loved being a part of in 2019!

World champions

Nothing beat this in 2019. This result was the culmination of years and years of hard work. In the end, it’s the one that mattered most. Re-live it below.

The Matt Hall story

Sure, if you’re reading this you know about Matt and what he has achieved – most likely. But never before has there been a visual look at his career quite like this. An 8-minute story on the boy from Newcastle who would go onto become the 2019 Red Bull Air Race World Champion – definitely a highlight!

2nd in Kazan!

This may seem an odd thing to include in our top five, because you know, it isn’t a win. But this is the result that kick started our season and put us on the road to our world championship. From this point, it was roll on the rest of the season.

World time attack launches!

We think this is one of the coolest images from 2019. This year Matt attended the World Time Attack Challenge and put on a thrilling air display, commencing with a standing start off the track. The crowd fell silent, stunned as he departed and we think their jaws left the ground a little over 10 minutes after the air display was over.

Spending time with the NSW Origin team

If you’re from Australia, particularly the east coast states of NSW and Queensland, you know how important State of Origin is. They’re the three biggest games of rugby league every year, hands down. This year, Matt had the chance to go and speak with the NSW team ahead of the series opener…and something must have sunk in, because NSW won the series and we were happy with that!
